The safety contact line routed parallel to the track carrier is an elegant way of directing current to the lifting gear and trolley. This involves the required current being directed by a pantograph carriage from the contact line to the hoist. The contact line is suspended parallel to the track carrier on clamping arms. This system is suitable for long journeys as there is no cable hanging down in the carrier area, and no approach dimension needs to be taken account of on either side.
